Alone
Are we ever truly alone?
Consider the moment you wake, the thrill of dawn urging you into another day
A gentle light inviting you to emerge from your dreamscape
The hum of the breeze as it strokes you this way and that
Birdsong calling you to your feet
Every sense wild and alert
A holding space
Until the sun becomes diluted by dusk
The arc of the moon serenades us as the day closes
Bird life flies home to roost
The breeze stiffens into the eve
Darkness envelopes the soul
And we drift into slumber embraced again by her love
Never alone…
